You wake up for your new business day and send out your newsletter to over 1000 subscribers from your website. You click one little link in your admin backoffice called a "ringer" and wait patiently. During this time you are replying to emails with your "Video Emailing System" so that you give each message that personal touch. As you work your ringer goes off and you enter your website, click a button and show up LIVE on your home page using your webcamera. You are talking to your first "open house" visitor for the day!!
Reality? Or just a dream of the "future" Internet?

I've talked about a type of fantasy world above which I told you was real, but it did require the coordination of many other tools such as a listserver (newsletter sending program) and prospect management system. These are used to get the people to visit your "open house".
How do you make money with an "open house" meeting?
As people visit your site and find it possible to actually see you visually, you get elevated a few notches on the totem pole of true business people. Visitors are looking for attention, and when that attention is directed at them visually you become a real person, ready to help. You should always lead with, "Thank you for visiting my website, how may I help YOU?". Do you see this effectiveness in your mind? You should because it will increase your sales by 50% even if you are not very good at presenting the products and services that your website has to offer.
Website visitors are demanding more and more out of their experience, so with the ability to deliver this you can capitalize on this as it happens. It's important to take notes and improve your welcome script as people appear. I recommend you plan for the time when more than one person shows up at a time so you can handle and sell to more at once.
Video can be used in a very clever way at the end of your open house meetings. (Note that I talk about "open house" but what I really mean is "video meetings". Basically an open house is simply a tactic to get people to drop by your site) I send out video email to people if they are willing to use the chat console to leave me their email address or join my newsletter. You should have these easily accessible because people will give you this information. Remember, guests that drop by your site are gold, they are there to not only to satisfy their curiosity but to purchase something either at that time or in the near future. Sending out a video postcard or video email is a good way to shake hands and keep that new relationship fresh.
How you follow-up with prospects or guests is critical to your profitability and can be done using video and audio in very cheap and simple ways. For example, there is a company called Skype. This company offers the ability to use your headset to make phone calls using your computer. Each call in North America costs only 2 cents per minute. This is not video but after a meeting sometimes it's best to get back to basics as you move to the close. I find that with a call rate that cheap you can't go wrong. Imagine taking just 10 minutes on your "Skype phone" to close a thousand dollar deal. The kicker here is that you can give them your website address again anytime they would like to switch to video and either continue the conversation (they might have their phone away from the computer and prefer to pull up their webcamera), or visually see the item or service points on a web page you are talking about. Using audio with video in conjunction can make you a ton of money and keep you in touch with your buyers and build that relationship. One important note here - too many early Internet entrepreneurs tried hard to "depersonalize" the Internet. They insisted that money could be made by posting order forms, spamming email addresses and simply waiting for the orders to arrive. With video and audio now prominently everywhere on the Internet the "NEW" Netizen is more savvy and insists on personal customer service to confirm legitimacy.
How can you utilize a video recording to make your site more profitable?
It goes without saying that not a day goes by without someone emailing and asking for product information. It's nice to be able to send them an email back with the usual product title, description and order form link. Works, but only 1 percent of the time. Sure you can chat and video with them but say you simply don't have time? Say you are busy doing a meeting or are on your Skype phone closing a deal? No problem, video recording studio to the rescue!

As you can imagine this is an incredible money maker and only takes a few hours of your time and can be sold over and over again. Tie this in with your free product presentation recordings and you begin to see the picture.
Video communication will rule the Internet
That's absolutely the truth about the future! Remember those dreams of video telephones, video cell phones? Why didn't they happen? Well they are in the works but now vendors like yourself are realizing that a person at a computer has the bandwidth, visual monitor full of beautiful colors and most importantly, a credit card handy. The "future" customer is looking for you to communicate with them at NO charge to them! This is the reason for video online rather than via phone, cheap and easier to get them to spend!
With that being said, I have some research to share with you. I never tell people this and don't as a rule teach this in any of my workshops. I don't because it's something that cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars to learn. Ready...?
Video presentations are nice, recorded ones are even better but the real sales are in the workshops. Here's how it works:
